Welcome to our Blog - Hi, I´m Livia

Hi I’m Livia,

I will check in from time to time and take part in our blog as well.

When we decided, that every team-member will write a short introduction about the blog and ourselves, I put this “to do” right at the end of my list (and I can tell - as a Mum „To do Lists“ are your Rescue Anchor!!!). The reason was, that I never thought of me as a Mum or what I will expect so I was afraid I wouldn't have anything to say.

When I was pregnant my biggest fear was that too much of my life would change. I was 35, was working 50 hours/week, enjoying my evenings with friends, just met the love of my life. I didn’t want to say goodbye to all my „Single-friends“, the long evenings in a bar with my husband and my job and decided, that I will integrate our child into our life and don´t change anything. Of course I am a bit more realistic after 2 years, but I don´t give up;)

At this point  I have to admit, that she couldn’t sleep from 2:30 to 5:30 last night for unknown reason, so I had to drop two items from my to do list for this very busy day this morning and accept that it comes how it comes.

But here is one very important thing I learned within the last 2 years. As a mum you will always try to plan everything but most of the time it doesn't turn out the way you think. This fact frustrates me a lot. I am always trying to tell myself: Relax!

However, what I also learned is to enjoy the moment! - even if it’s not perfect, or I missed Yoga class or didn’t shower or missed the first meeting - there are those surprising moments with our child which are so much fun and infinite love.

A lot of things in my life have changed already and more will, some because of our daughters arrival, some because of outside circumstances and some just because I have changed and grown by it.

All along I thought I wouldn´t  have those „mama-genes“. But now I know that you can grow with it…

My Blog-posts go to all the mamas or mamas to be out there, who are afraid that they don’t have the „mama-gene“! Just go with it and stay yourself - the rest will take care of itself.

Enjoy reading.
